Dr. Fradin-Read's Tips for Managing Menopause and Enhancing Longevity

1. Prioritize Protein: Ensure you're getting adequate protein in your diet to preserve muscle mass and support overall vitality. Avoid intermittent fasting if you are in perimenopause or menopause, as it can negatively affect muscle mass and metabolic rate.

2. Leverage Peptide Therapy: Explore peptides like SS31 and GLP-1 inhibitors to aid in weight management, enhance energy levels, and provide brain protection. Discuss with your healthcare provider to determine the best peptide therapy for your individual needs.

3. Use Bioidentical Hormones: Work with your doctor to start bioidentical hormone therapy if you're experiencing perimenopausal symptoms. Personalized hormones can help maintain estrogen and progesterone levels, which are crucial for brain health, bone density, and overall vitality.

4. Integrate Metformin if Appropriate: Consider Metformin for its benefits beyond diabetes management, including weight control and protection against chronic illnesses such as cancer and Alzheimer's. Consult your healthcare provider to see if it’s suitable for you.

5. Incorporate Specific Supplements: Add supplements like NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide) and lithium orotate to your daily regimen. NMN can boost NAD+ levels, supporting cellular energy and brain health, while lithium orotate can help stabilize mood and enhance cognitive function.
